Day 1: LIMA (Meals not included) 

Arrival in Lima. Pick up and transfer from Lima Airport to your hotel, located in Miraflores.

Day 2: LIMA (Breakfast)

LIMA CITY TOUR 

We will begin our tour visiting the modern suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores where we will see the Financial Center, the San Isidro Golf Course a nd the Olive Grove Park. We will also go by the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-inca pyramid shape temple that has survived the expansion of modern civilization. We will stop at Parque del Amor (Love Park) and enjoy a nice view of the Pacific Ocean, as we drive down the Miraflores Malecon, a road along the cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Continue our visit to downtown Lima`s historical center, designated by Unesco as Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1991. In this journey we will enjoy what once was the center of the 16th century Spanish colony. We will see the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop`s Palace, the City Hall and the Desamparados Train Station. We will also see Plaza San Martin, a large park surrounded by old colonial buildings still displaying beautiful carved wood balconies and other landmarks.

Finally we will visit the San Francisco Monastery and its famous underground crypts known as the Catacombs. At the end of the tour you will have a choice to either shop at the Indian Market, Larcomar Mall or return to your hotel.

Day 3: LIMA - CUSCO (Breakfast)


After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for your domestic flight to Cusco. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Time to acclimatize and enjoy a light lunch (lunch on your own).

Day 4: CUSCO (Breakfast)

CITY TOUR AND NEARBY RUINS 

After an early breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for your domestic flight to Cusco. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your selected hotel. Time to acclimatize and enjoy a light lunch before to start your excursion (lunch on your own). In the afternoon, you will start a guided visit to the four ruins surrounding Cusco, the Sacsayhuaman Fortress; Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. 

In addition, Main Square, the Cathedral and the Koricancha Sun Temple visits are included in the tour. The rest of the evening is personal time to explore Cusco which offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, discos and others. 

At an according time you will be contacted for the Inca Trail Breifing.

Day 5: INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU (Full Board)

* Camps are subject to change in accordance with the regulations of use for the Inca Trail, as imposed by the government, or according to the opinion of the guide, based on group capability.

Cusco - Km 82 - Huayllabamba (6 hours trekking aprox) 

At approximately 5:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel and go by bus to mile 82. After passing the control point, we start the walk alongside the Urubamba River until we reach the important archaeological ruins of Llactapata, where we will have our lunch. Continuing on, we will trek for approximately 6 hours (a total of 13 kilometres) until we reach our first campsite in Huayllabamba.

o Approximate Walking Time: 5 - 6 hours.

o Maximum Altitude: 3,000 m (9.840 ft).

o Camp Altitude: 3,000 m (9.840 ft).

Day 6: INCA TRAIL (Full Board)

Huayllabamba - Pacaymayu (6 to 7 hours walking aprox.) 

The biggest challenge: 21 kilometres of climbing to traverse 2 high passes, including Warmiwañusca, with its' 4200 m. That is the highest point of the hike, which we will come to with difficulty breathing being surprised by the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers, and the beautiful semi-tropical valley beneath us. The hike includes views of the archaeological sites of Runkurakay and Sayacmarca. We will camp in Pacaymayu.

o Approximate Walking Time: 6-7 hours.

o Maximum Altitude: 4.200 m (13.776 ft).

o Camp Altitude: 3,500 m (11.480 ft).

Day 7: INCA TRAIL (Full board)

Pacaymayu - Wiñaywayna (7 to 8 hours walking aprox.) 

This is a quiet day but, with just 10 kilometres of hiking on a mostly flat route with many downhill slopes. We will observe how the geography changes before our eyes, from dry and mountainous to semi-tropical and green (in the area known as the "eyebrow of the jungle"). During the walk, we will visit the archaeological sites of Phuyupatamarca and Intipata, eventually coming to our final campsite of the hike at Wiñaywayna. 

o Approximate Walking Time: 8 hours

o Maximum Altitude: 3,900 m (12.792 ft)

o Camp Altitude: 2.650 m (8.692 ft)

Day 8: INCA TRAIL (Breakfast and Lunch)

Wiñaywayna - Machupicchu 

After very early breakfast we will depart towards Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), the entrance to the ancient Incan city, Machupicchu. From this point is an unforgettable experience; after descending down the final slope to the magical ruins, we will have a guided tour of the site for approximately 2 hours. In the afternoon, you will rest at your hotel.

Day 9: MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO (Breakfast) 

Breakfast at your hotel. Free early morning to explore Aguas calientes town. At an according time we will take our Expedition train to return to Cusco. (*Huyana Picchu entrance as an optional service and depending of the availability*)

Day 10: CUSCO (Breakfast)

Free day to explore the city at your own leisure. 

At an according time you will picked up for your dinner show in Cusco.

Day 11: CUSCO - LIMA (Breakfast)

Breakfast at your hotel. At an according time we will pick you up to take you to the Airport for your domestic flight to Lima. Arrival in Lima and transfer to your hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel. Free morning to explore the city at your own leisure before your transfer to the airport for your international flight.
